It’s spring time and that means spring blockbusters on the big screens. Get the jump on some of the films hitting theaters in the near future by adding these to you reading list.
The Lost City of Z by David Grann
The Lost City of Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett, played by Charlie Hunnam, who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Also starring Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller. Look for The Lost City of Z in theaters April 14.
The Circle by Dave Eggers
When Mae (Emma Watson) is hired by the largest and most powerful tech and social media company, she sees it as an opportunity of a lifetime. As she rises through the ranks, she is encouraged by the company’s founder, Eamon Bailey, played by Tom Hanks, to engage in a groundbreaking experiment that pushes the boundaries of privacy, ethics and ultimately her personal freedom. The Circle starts April 28.
The Dinner by Herman Koch
This darkly suspenseful tale surrounds two families united by the accountability of one horrific, criminal act their 15-year-old sons have committed. The foursome struggle to make the hardest decision of their lives – all over the course of one meal. Starring Richard Gere and Laura Linney. The Dinner opens May 5.
My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier
A young Englishman (Sam Claflin) plots revenge against his beautiful cousin (Rachel Weisz), believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the spell of her charms. My Cousin Rachel begins July 20.
