It’s Geek Week (like every other week at HPB)

If you’re looking to express your geeky side with pride—and why shouldn’t you?—Half Price Books is the place. Our stores seem to have a never-ending supply of games, comics, action figures and other items designed to help you geek out.

One of our stores just got a big bounty of classic NES games. Some titles of interest:

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with box
  • WrestleMania with box
  • Castlevania
  • Metroid
  • Yoshi

They also have a boxed Nintendo Entertainment System that includes non-standard A/V cables that provide superior visual and sound quality—plus additional titles for NES, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Intellivision and more!

At our Monroeville, Pennsylvania store. Cartridges are priced from $10 to $60, depending on condition and rarity.

DeathstonesThe Deathstones, by E.L. Arch
First edition, first Avalon printing, 1964.
Rachel R. Cosgrove Payes wrote this sci-fi novel under the pen name E.L Arch, an anagram of her first name. Text is clean and tight. The dust jacket is in Fair condition, with wear, a stain on the bottom of the back board and a large closed tear on the top-front panel.
At our Lynnwood, Washington store: $40.

AD&D Tomes: Return to the Tomb of Horrors is a rare necromantic adventure for higher-level D&D players. All guides and maps are present.
At our Highland Park, Illinois store: $50.

x-menPoseable Figures

Storm is a Marvel Comics X-Men Special Collector’s Edition, Toy Biz 12-inch poseable doll.
New in box, 1996. $24.99

Green Lantern is a DC Justice League of America poseable figure, by Kenner. The top of the box has been resealed, but the action figure is attached to the original packaging.

All things Sir Patrick Stewart. The bundle includes:

  • 28 issues of Stargazer fanzine, published by the IAAPS (International Audience Alliance for Patrick Stewart)
  • 9 spiral-bound issues of Involution, A Next Generation Zine by Orion Press—Captain Picard-related fan fiction
  • 2 spiral-bound issues of The Picard Maneuver—more Picard fan fiction
  • 3 packs of office paper with the Stargazer IAAPS logo
