40 Years of Being Green
EmilyAs you’ve heard many times on this blog, Half Price Books is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, making for four decades of reading and recycling. We've striven since the beginning to keep books out of landfills, making preserving and recycling resources a part of our daily business.
Last week, we celebrated Earth Day and Arbor Day with our own 40th anniversary tree planting week. Half Price Books stores around the country planted trees in their communities to help celebrate. We even had a special day here in our Dallas market where we planted 40 trees at Cottonwood Park in Richardson, Texas. Volunteers dedicated each of the trees to someone who had inspired a love of reading in their lives.
